Your responsibilities

• Negotiate contracts and prices with new and existing suppliers
• Develop and improve suppliers and the supplier base
• Analyze and categorize the product and supplier base
• Work on sourcing new suppliers
• Participate in and represent the purchasing department in projects
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to translate requirements and needs into profitable solutions

Good to know

The position is located in new, nice premises in Åsbro, where production, development, marketing, sales, and all other functions are located. You will belong to the purchasing team responsible for SVAB's total purchasing volume, where you drive negotiation/sourcing in close collaboration with production and R&D.

Our expectations

We are looking for someone with a post-secondary education in economics or engineering and experience in tactical and strategic purchasing. You have previously worked in a commercial role and possess good negotiation skills. As a person, you are analytical, structured, and business-minded. You thrive in a role with many contact points, have good communication skills, and easily build relationships both internally and externally. You collaborate unpretentiously, are solution-oriented and results-driven, and feel comfortable working in complex contexts. Since the role involves working in several systems, you need to be comfortable with the Office suite and have experience working in an ERP/MPS system, preferably Monitor. Since the work involves contacts both nationally and internationally, you master Swedish and English both in speech and writing.
